Hi, I'm Bert. That's me on the left. I was born Robert Brian
Killian in St. Louis, Missouri. My little gray-haired grandmother
taught me to love baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals---and
I've never stopped. I've changed a little in that I'm far more
enthusiastic now about the minor leagues and amateur baseball
than the majors, but they never have distracting strikes or lockouts
down at that level. In fact, my favorite team became the Richmond
Braves mainly because I saw about a hundred games while I was
getting my BFA and MA from Virginia Commonwealth University in
Richmond. I've since moved to the Washington, DC area, where
I work as a designer for the Smithsonian Institution. This is my lovely wife Linda and our beautiful bodacious baby George and me at his baptism. She's a huge Civil War buff. Our honeymoon was a two-week sojourn of Civil War battlefields. Fooled you, I'll bet you thought it would have been a baseball trip. Our child was named after General George Thomas. I told you she was a huge Civil War buff. It's amazed me on our honeymoon just how many Civil War battles were fought on National Parks. (That's a joke.) My wife provides child care and pet sits in the Northern Virginia area. See her ad below---and support my sponsor. |
